For organizations which do not currently have a plan, we help select the right insurance carrier and implement a customized plan within your needs and budget. We go to market and request quotes from all insurance carriers, compare the benefits and rates. Thereafter, we ensure the implementation of industry competitive packages effectively attracting and retaining key employees. Our templates and unique service model minimize year-round plan administration and provide for quick resolution to claims and billing issues – usually within an hour.


For organizations which have a plan in place, we conduct a plan audit. Review set-up, eligibility, plan design and ensure it is compliant with CRA and insurance carrier guidelines thus minimizing potential liability. Thereafter, we conduct a marketing requesting quotes from all insurance carriers. Often, without a change in insurance carrier or benefits, we are able to generate significant savings for most organizations. Furthermore, if you choose to proceed with us, we take care of your plan administration moving forward. From employee enrollment, to terminations to employee changes and answering questions – we take care of everything at no cost to our clients.

Q. How much does Brightin-Insider charge for a consultation?

A. Consultations with our Employee Benefits Brokers are free. If you decide to proceed with a plan or a product, our fees are built in to the premiums carriers charge. This is standard for the insurance industry. If you decide it is not the right time, we hope you will consider working with us later. Please note, consultations are only available during business hours, 8am to 5pm – Monday to Friday.

Q. How much does a benefit plan cost?
A. A plan may cost anywhere from 2% to 9% of payroll. We work with your budget to provide the most comprehensive coverage at the most cost effective structure available in the marketplace.

Q. We already have benefit plan quotes from insurance carriers. Can you do anything for us?
A. Absolutely. Our employee benefits brokers can compare those quotes for you. We also request additional quotes from other carriers able to fulfill your organization’s present and future needs. Our service fees are already built into premiums of the quotes you have received. If you choose to proceed with any one of them, we can represent you in front of the insurance carrier, during the year and at renewal. If you put your plan through one of our employee benefits brokers, you also get access to the full Brightin-Insider Benefits Package.

Q. How is Brightin-Insider different than other life & disability insurance agents?
A. Our employee benefits brokers and consultants take care of everything. We obtain quotes from all insurance carriers, we compare their quotes and make a recommendation. At the end of our process, our clients know exactly why they have chosen to proceed with the specific carrier and product.Then we implement the plan and take care of all plan administration. What makes us different is the service after the plan has been implemented. With other firms, plan administration is done by you, the client.

Q. What is the recommended implementation timeline for a benefit plan?
A. The timeline depends on the insurance carrier of choice and the size of the group. For groups between 1 and 59 employees, we recommend you plan for an implementation timeline between 2 and 4 weeks from submission of all of the paperwork needed to the insurance carrier. For groups between 59 and 150 employees, it would be between 4 and 9 weeks. Expedited services are available for extenuating circumstances.

Q. What is the soonest we are able to implement a benefit plan for?
A. For a small to medium sized groups of up to 59 employees, if the employer provides all of the necessary information and paperwork, a plan may be effective as early as the very next day. Employees may collect receipts for claims incurred after the effective date of the plan and submit them to the insurer once the plan is set-up and active on system. Please note that there is a limited number of insurance carriers who are able to provide this expedited service. It is best to speak with one of our group benefits brokers for details.
